Thursday Thirteen #6

Thirteen Things I've Done Today

1. Fed and clothed my two girls. Not such a small thing. They both wake up around 7am and want to eat immediately! I guess I would too if I had just slept for 12-13 hours and it had been at least that long since I'd eaten.

2. Taken a nap. Since DH doesn't leave for work till 10am, and I'd been up since 6:30, I headed back to bed for a 20 minute snooze.

3. Made breakfast for hubby and me and got him out the door and off to work. He had the lovely job of cleaning off the car since we got a pretty good snowfall last night.

4. Booked another party for my Body Shop at Home business. This thing is really taking off! I've got 2 more parties this month and 5 so far in January. Things are looking good and it's so fun!

5. Bundled up the kids and headed into the freezing cold. BRRRRRRR. We got invited over to a friend's house for a playdate. Emma was so excited, and so was I. They have a fenced-in backyard, which meant that the mommys and babies got to stay inside and watch from the window while the older girls played outside.

6. Ate lunch- a snack wrap from McD's. I love these!!!

7. Dropped off Body Shop catalogs at a friend's house.

8. Gave Ella a bottle and put her down for a nap.

9. Quit my job at the scrapbook store. Yes, it's official. I have 3 more shifts to work this month and I'm done!

10. Made candies for Christmas. So easy! Just take a waffle shaped pretzel and put a Rolo candy on top. Pop in the oven at 250 degrees for 2-3 minutes. Take a pecan half and push down on top of Rolo until flat. Let harden. Yum-O!

11. Tried calling a friend that I haven't talked to in a long time. Got voice mail. Bummer! Hopefully we'll connect soon.

12. Got a pot of chili going on the stove. I wish I would've thought of it at the beginning of the day-could've put it in the crockpot and had it ready by dinnertime.

13. Posting my Thursday Thirteen. This also posed to be a challenge because my 1-yr old is constantly trying to push the buttons on the keyboard as I type. So, that would be my excuse for any typos. :)

Sounds like a busy day! I envy you the 20 minute nap. My little one gets up at 6 am and by the time it's 10 am, I feel like I've already put in a full day. Thanks for visiting:)

Thankfully the walk to my boys' school wasn't that cold today.

Glad you found time to take a break.

Happy TT!

Hi Melissa--Blast from the past here... anyhow sounds like life is going really well for you! I'm so glad! I'd love to touch base. If your parents are still in the Jenison area, maybe we could go for coffee when you visit next. Email me if you like.
