Pumpkin Time

This weekend we made our annual trek to the pumpkin patch. We decided to keep it simple, letting the girls pick out a small pumpkin, and enjoying a donut and apple cider. Emma had a great time, but Ella just wasn't into it. There were some scary sounds and a few witches around and she just wasn't liking it one bit. I don't think she cracked a smile the entire time we were there!

Emma shows off her snack. Ella was so put out by the experience that she wouldn't even touch a donut or drink any cider!

The girls pose on the tractor. (Ella was eye-balling the Wicked Witch of the West. Just picture a witch on a broom who spins around on top of a pole so it looks like she's flying. There's smoke coming out from behind her and she's screaming, "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!" Yeah, Ella was pretty suspicious of that.)

Emma's choice of pumpkins.

Ella's got her's too.

Oh, they are so cute, and I love pumpkin patch pictures! Of late, a very strange phenomenon has overtaken my normally sensible color choices, and orange has risen to the top of my favorite color list! My Ornery hopes I don't decide to redecorate while in this phase...;-)

Your girls are beautiful! I'm glad that the big pumpkin patch in our area doesn't do the ghoulish stuff--just scarecrows, lots of wooden cartoon cutouts for the kids to stick their faces in, hay mazes, and hayrides.
