1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog, although Custard Nog is even better.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa doesn't come to our house. Now before you all leave posts about what a shame it is that my kids don't believe in Santa and that what harm could possibly be done by practicing this tradition, just relax! I never got presents from Santa as a kid and I turned out just fine. Actually, I was probably the kid in your class that told everyone there was no such thing as Santa.:) But anyway, it's just not something that we do and we prefer to focus on the real reason for the season.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer white lights on my tree. But on the house I could go either way. I'm kind of digging those big, retro outdoor lights that my Grandpa used to hang on his house in the late 70's/early 80's.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope.
5. When do you put your decorations up? Right after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Someone in my family, it's usually me now, always makes my Grandma's rice salad. Hey, don't knock it till you try it. It's a family tradition and we never have a meal without it!
7. What is your favorite holiday memory? I would have to say it is the year that my siblings and I got our Cabbage Patch dolls. We woke up at the crack of dawn and ran downstairs to see what awaited us. We could hardly contain ourselves when we saw 4 boxes that I was positive were doll boxes. My parents took their own sweet time getting downstairs that year, which I later found out was a cruel plan to torture us by waiting!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Never believed in him.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yep. Usually Christmas pj's and stockings. Yes, we do stockings on Christmas Eve, since they're not from Santa anyway!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? White and red lights with a variety of ornaments.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it in December, hate it January-March.
12. Can you ice skate? Uh, I guess. A little. Haven't gone since college.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I think it would have to be the Cabbage Patch Doll. But when I was a teenager I got a great "boom box" one year. For those of you who grew up in the 80's-stop laughing, you got one too!
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Spending time with family and watching my kids get excited.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Anything chocolate.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas pj's. Also, when we are at my parent's house, my dad always gets CINNABON CINNAMON ROLLS for Christmas morning. PLEASE DAD, don't try a new, local bakery this year. GO FOR THE GOOD STUFF!!
17. What tops your tree? A silver star.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? I love giving, of course, but receiving is fun too.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? I like them all.
And on a completely random note, I'll leave you with a quote from my eldest daughter, said quite emphatically to my youngest daughter a few minutes ago. And I quote..."NO, you're NOT coming in here! Not by the hair of my chiny, chin, chin!"

Great meme! Thanks for visiting my blog. I like Nichole Nordeman too. :>)
"custard nog"--Ooo, this sounds yummy. I actually like egg nog; I think I have finally acquired the taste.
I didn't have the guts to put in the bit about Santa. My kids know he is "pretend" but they do like to pretend he is real sometimes. Wierd, huh?
(I don't know if you know this, but I posted this meme in my sidebar under "Holiday Questions."
Love you!
