Busy, busy, busy!

It's been a busy few days. Nothing incredibly exciting to report, just busyness. Thursday night was my Girls Night Out with the Body Shop at Home. Ahh, a night of pampering. Since I am in dire need of a makeover, it was nice to try out some new makeup and soak my feet. What I would give for a full makeover-complete with a manicure, pedicure, haircut and color, fresh makeup (not something I bought in the 90's), and a massage wouldn't be too bad either. On a fun note, I signed up to be a Body Shop at Home consultant. I'll be able to sell all the same products that you can get in the stores at the mall. The bonus is that customers get pampered at the same time! Sounds like fun to me.

I've also made the decision to quit my job at the scrapbook store. DH is putting in around 60 hrs at work each week and the last thing I want to do is go work the entire weekend! I DO want to see my husband sometimes, you know. And the girls need to have both of us around from time to time. I'll be sad to leave the store, but it's time. There's no point in only working 3-4 times a month. Plus, I want to have some time left over to actually scrapbook once in a while. Go figure.

So the rest of my weekend consisted mainly of working. Emma had her final gymnastics class on Saturday. We decided not to sign her up for the next round of classes, but to take a break. She really loved the class, but I wanted to save the money for Christmas presents. So right after her class, I went to work and didn't get home till 8pm. Sunday I had to work again, which meant that I had to leave church halfway through the service. I hate doing that! Got home around 6pm, and we all got ourselves together to go do a mystery shop assignment. For those of you who don't know, I do mystery shopping from time to time. There are certain stores that I just love and it definitely helps me around the holidays- free Christmas presents!

And now we are back to Monday. Another week. Another 5 days of routine. Today was laundry day. Not too bad, because I just did laundry a week ago. Even so, I did 7 loads. The girls make up the bulk of my laundry items each week, especially Ella who seems to soak through her pj's every night.

Well, I'm off to make dinner, or at least figure out what to make. I'm very proud of myself- I've already made one of the two pies that I'm taking to my parent's house for Thanksgiving dinner. My great-grandmother's peanut butter pie. Looks yummy! Now, if I can just keep everybody's paws off of it for the next three days, we'll be all set. Just a pumpkin walnut pie and my other Great-Grandma's rice salad to make and I'll be done. Oh yeah, and I have to make a breakfast casserole to bring to MOPS tomorrow. UGGH! I'd better get busy!

You need to give me your recipes (or at least what you consider the best one to post on my "Super Good" section. That last one (the pumpkin cobbler) was delish!
By the way, know any festive cookie recipes? I'm going to a cookie swap in a couple weeks...
Have A Great TG day!
