This was one of the only moments they were quiet during the entire day!

Well, I survived my marathon day of babysitting last Friday. All in all, I had 6 children in my care from around 10 am till 7 pm. It was a long, exhausting day, but I managed to get through without too many scratches. The pictures above are from that crazy day.

As I write this, Todd, Emma, and Ella are crouched on the floor over by the sliding door. Emma sees an ant and is yelling, "Daddy, get him! Daddy, get the ant! But Daddy, they're not my friends, please get them!" Not 5 minutes ago, she was begging Todd to give her some fish food so she could feed the ants. Ella is just trying to get in the middle of all of the commotion, laughing and giggling in the midst of it all.

It's been a long week in our house. We've had problems with both of our vehicles, which you can only imagine would cause a huge inconvience. Especially when Todd has an hour commute each way to work. Some nice friends of ours have let us borrow their car for a few days, so Todd can at least get to work and back.

Today I was able to scrapbook for a few hours with some friends from church. After that, I stopped by the hospital to see a friend that had her baby yesterday. Yes, this is a mother of 2 of the children in the above picture. She felt pretty uncomfortable at the end, so I'm glad that she's made it through the delivery and should be home resting by now. Welcome Baby Alexis!

Tonight we are just going to get the kids to bed and relax. Tomorrow is the start of a new Sunday School class at church that we want to check out, and then we're possibly going to stop by a pre-school open house in the afternoon. Pre-school is so expensive, we probably won't be able to send Emma. But this place has been highly recommended, so I think we'll at least check it out.

The picture reminds me of when you and michelle were little with all your cousins.

melissa,
you are a brave woman. how cool, though, to be in a community of families who support and help out one another. i need to get me one of those.

wow, I'm so impressed! You are a great friend!! I couldn't help but smile when I saw Emma-I thought I was seeing you as a child-so cute! BTW, I just found your GS cookies, over in the corner of David's office! I'm so sorry-do you still want them?!
